Perch was founded on May 1, 2012 as the first hands-free video communication app designed to use a dedicated iOS device to bring people together over distances.
By mounting an iPod touch, iPad or iPhone in a place you want to connect with, you and those in your Perch account will be able view video messages and ambient videos as they happen.
To send a video message to anyone you’ve added to your account, simply look at a device running Perch and talk. Anyone who is in your Perch account will be notified when this video message has been recorded. If you choose to enable motion detection, you’ll also receive a notification when something interesting happens in your home, which you can then share with your family. It’s an intuitive, hands-free method of video communication.
Perch was founded on May 1, 2012 by Danny Robinson, Michael Perone, Zach Levow, and Steve McKenzie in Vancouver, Canada as a way to seamlessly connect with people using video.
